You can look at it in two ways:

1) K mount is dying
2) K mount doesn't need no stinkin' Tamron lenses.

Given that I have 3 AF Tamrons and the fact that none are what I'd consider stellar I'm not really mourning the loss too hard. Maybe the primes are better but my zooms are okay to good, but not great. Any Pentax lens I have beats the stuffing out of them, and yes, that includes the much maligned kit lens. I was sitting here the other day trying to take some semi-low light pics with my Tamron zoom that's supposed to be better than the kit lens? The K-x just couldn't get the focus. I had to MF the Tamron to even get a decent shot. Same settings, but I swapped to the kit, and I got the shots, with or without AF, in the low light, no problem. I've had decent results with the 300MM zoom, but I'm still thinking the Pentax 55-300 will kick it's butt when I finally get that. If that's the best Tamron can do? I don't care if they don't make Pentax mount AF lenses.

My Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 is a lens I could never part with. Incredible image quality, at least on APS-C. I tried the 17-50mm f/2.8, and found the image quality to also be good. But those are the only Tamrons I've ever used, so I can't comment on their other lenses. But I imagine that their newer designs are probably an improvement on their older lenses.

One newer lens I do wish they would make in K-mount is their new 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SP Di VC USD. It's probably the best affordable 300mm zoom lens out there, and has class-leading image quality. But it's not available where it's needed most, in Pentax mount. I already have the Sigma 100-300mm f/4, but it would be nice to have a high-quality option for when I don't need the speed of f/4 and want to travel light. I've already owned the Pentax DA 55-300mm, the FA J 75-300mm, and the Sigma 70-300mm. While they've all been capable for the price, none of them were overly impressive.

For the K mount or for MF cameras
Not sure if I'm reading the question correctly so i'll just answer it a few differing ways.

There are a few existing Zeiss MF PK mount lens out there presently. It is to my understanding that they work with all of the Pentax PK mount cameras; from the late seventies up to the two most recently released cameras from Pentax; the K-01 and K-30. I presently only have one Zeiss for my Pentax's, but am planning on purchasing all of them.

As for the new; yet unreleased Zeiss lens'...

Both will be offered in Pentax PK mount, and others. Not sure if either or both will be offered in manual focus

My friend who just recently bought a K-30 says the same thing with the Tamron 28-75 f2.8, what other Tamron that brings out incredible image quality as with the Tamy 28-75 that I can offer in advice is the Tamron 70-200 f2.8. Not only does it couple with the 28-75 f2.8 perfectly, this lens is super even wide-open, more sharp than the DA* 50-135 at f2.8. It's amazing how this is one of the cheapest 70-200 f2.8 in production right now yet it is one of the sharpest in production, sharper than the Canon 70-200 f2.8 L if I can recall. The best thing about it is the Pentax mount version uses a screw-drive which is faster than it's built-in motor with the Canon and Nikon versions.

Sorry, my mistake - I meant to ask if the lenses are for K mount of for Medium Format mount? I appreciate your answer and am delighted to know that there are 2 Zeiss offerings coming for the K mount!

Zeiss discontinued production of the ZK line in 2010,
and their newer Z* lenses,
such as 15/2.8, 25/2, and 35/1.4,
have not been offered at all for the K-mount.

You might be able to adapt Zeiss lenses for the Q.

Tamron is making the new 24-70 F2.8 without VC for sony. It has gotten very good reviews, and is, IMHO a very useful focal length range. Further it is FF for when/if this would be desirable. Pentax only has the 17-70 F4 or DA*16-50. Wouldn't be a problem not having third party lenses in K-mount if the pentax selection were a bit better --
