12-24mm F4.5-5.6 DG HSM II

I placed this Lens on Laybuy this morning , I'd like to go a little wider with my landscape shots than the 15 Ltd , I'd still like to Keep the 15 and use it on K5 Body as it is a little Tank and small / compact , but wanted a Lens that is Full Format lens and the Sigma 12-24 DG HSM II is a Good contender

does anyone have this lens ?

I don't think it's come out yet for Pentax, if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Adam , I've spoken to the camera store that I normally buy my gear from , they contacted "CR Kennedy" and then advised me that it is available ???? so there goes that Idea then ?? I had a Laybuy on the Sigma 10-20 but cancelled it to get the 12-24 HSM II .

Edit : You're probably right , currently only available in Sigma , Nikon Canon Mounts

Sigma did announce that the new 12-24 would come "later" for Pentax, so for now we can assume that it's coming sooner or later. It's a different story for other lenses, like the 105, 150, and 180 macros- those aren't coming at all

This would have been my first choice If I'd be able to use Filters in front of the lens for doing my Long exposures landscape / seascapes.....

Adam , since I don't have a Macro Lens in my Kit I've eyeballing the new Sigma 105 Macro and thinking to that would be the macro I'd like to get.

there is always the old version thou right ?

Adorama is showing the lens in stock for Pentax. I'm heading to Cozumel for week and looking for a good wide angle zoom to walk around with.

Hi Winder , is the stock for a Pentax K-Mount thou? AFAIK it's not available yet here ?

Is allows me to go to check out with it in my basket. I have not called to check, so it may be a computer error.

The Pentax 12-24 say it is on back order and they will notify me when it is available to ship, but the new Sigma has no out of stock notice or unavailable notice.

Winder , I ended up acquiring the Sigma 10-20 . It was The lens I originally placed an order for. Reviews I read on Photozone.de said it was soft on corners etc. but I haven't found this to be the case.

The Sigma 12-24mm F4,5-5,6 DG HSM II has never been build for Pentax K. This information is checked with Sigmas official information about this lens.
