Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro or Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 AF XR Di LD Macro for KR ?

Hi,

I need to buy a lens for lowlight stage event & Wedding photography. I have found 2 good lens to choose from can any one tell me which is the best ?
1) Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 AF XR Di LD Macro
2) Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro

Sigma faster at focusing but is wayyyy to soft at 2.8 and has terrible bokeh. I'd go for tamron

Not sure if the 28 end is wide enough though.

Ajaya - the Tamron is available in Pentax mount with warranty for ~28k. Check ebay.in

i didn't find any such lens for 28k !! its there for 47k !!

i think 28mm is far better than my current 50mm ! i just wanted to know how good the lens performance compared to sigma.

Hello, I'd go for Tamron, it's sharper.
Search for Yukoner777, he is about to sell one copy.

I would vouch for the Tamron too in terms of performance. Its front element is also smaller than the Sigma's, as well as sharper than the Sigma though the latter's FL is more useful.
