Although 28mm isn’t that wide on a cropped sensor, but the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 is generally considered as one of the sharpest lens you can have on an APS-C body. I had this lens at one point and IQ is in different league in comparison to my DA-L kit. For something wider at that price range and will complement a WR body such as your K-5, the 18-55mm WR would most likely be your only choice; again, IQ will not be as sharp as what you already have. Based on your location you would want a WR lens. For $250 you can also get a used DA 16-45 which is better than the 18-55 but not WR. I don’t have experience with the suggested Sigma 10-20 but I’ve seen impressive samples taken with that lens.
