Da* 16-50 - zoom ring concerns

The zoom ring seems to be progressively harder to rotate around mid ranges. Has anyone else experienced this problem or noticed a similar type of issue?

Does yours rotate smoothly with little effort?

There is a slight 'drag' at around 28mm on mine. Just enough to notice, not an issue for me. If it is more than that you might want to get it checked.

+1, I was considering getting it looked at but it's not much more than a minor nuciance.

Mine does the same. A minor increase in resistance somewhere in the middle. Not an issue in use.

Same here! It is normal behavior for this lens.

I think because of the design of 2 inner lens tubes

Agree, it starts just as the second tube begins to extend. Odd, but normal for this lens.
