Viv 70-210 vs. F135/2.8

Curious if anyone has direct experience with both of these or has compared them directly? Have a F135/2.8 which is superb, but curious how IQ compares to the V3 (Komine-built) Viv 70-210.

The Vivitar is definitely a great lens, but I wouldn't expect it to do so well up against a good quality prime.

I have the 70-210mm 2.8-4 Komine and the smc-K 2.5/135 and both feels and perform very different. The first it's sharp with flat(true) colours, but the Pentax 's may reproduce punchy colours with more contrast and better CA/Purple fringing performance. On simple words the Vivitar have an oldie sensation on it pictures.

The CA is much better on the 135. If you don't need the increased range there is no reason to get both lenses. If you do ned the range the Vivitar will work well, but you'll notice the CA now and then.
