There isn't that much difference as far as aperture between the FA 31 and the Nikon 35 f1.4. The big thing is that Nikon has full frame cameras to mount their 35 on, whereas Pentax only has APS-C as of now.

Right now, I'm dreaming of the DA * 60-250, but as of right now, my wife doesn't think that I need it...

That's what I dream as well, as well as having ideal weather for photography. I'm largely satisfied with the gear I've had and would like to make the best use of it.

Nikon APS-C 35/1.8G

IMO the FA31 is optically superior to the Nikkor.

I don't really have any dream lenses, I already have enough of them...but you can never have too many nifty 50's - I already have over 170 of them...

True, but it is meant for FF. The reason I am into APS-C is to take advantage of the weight savings and wider depth of field. f1.4 is fantastic for high shutter performance, in case someone shoots me why 1.4.

My dream WR limiteds in particular a FA77 WR LTD, then LBA would kick in and I would then "need" a FA31 WR LTD,then a FA43 WR LTD, then a ...............WR LTD, then a ...........WR LTD. Its not a dream its a nightmare!
