Do you guys dream about having a dream lens?

I am always lusting the Nikon APS-C 35/1.8G. Imagine Pentax has a WR fast focusing screw drive or DC version with 9 rounded aperture blade and f1.4..... I am willing to pay 1000 bucks for it. And I want it like NOW.

If you consider the price of the FA31, you will need to pay more than 1000USD to buy your dream lens.

So far I dream about a dream body!

Nothing fancy, but I dream about a 50mm f1.2 and a nice 70-200 2.8 .

I always dream about the lens I don't have, usually that's one some one else has. As I have something like 40 lenses this is not a frequent dream, ok I'll make an exception for the DA 15limited. I don't have it, everyone else seems to have it, talks about it constantly, and I want it. So I guess I do dream about that.

I'd love the Pentax FA* 250-600. I need it. Now.

a DA version of the FA 20-35 f/4, but with f/2.8 and a die hard SDM, not too heavy and smaller filter size, that unlike most people I enjoy using pop-up flash sometime.

Since it's a dream, I want a 16-85 F2.8 with WR and DC focusing in a compact package (smaller than 16-50), at a price of less than USD$1000.

I dream of an 8-1000mm f/1.2 (or faster).
Ain't gonna happen...

I guess I'd have to settle for the FA* 80-200 2.8, but I'd like it be have the DA* weather-sealing, no SDM, and an aperture ring.

Of course. I still want the Pentax 18-135 and the 55-300 but I don't really covet much more than that. I've got enough decent lenses, MF and AF to content anyone who isn't lens obsessed actually. Even on my miniscule budget I've managed to acquire a positively stunning bouquet of lenses that most photographers I think would agree is very nice indeed. I'm about to sell off my Taks to pay my dentist's bill. Keeping them is just not an option anymore unfortunately but even without the "major 5" as I call them I still won't be at a disadvantage and that's even with me shooting for a living now.

I hate to see them go. The very idea of listing them makes me a bit teary, no kidding, because I worked my arse off to get them all, I really did, but necessity is an evil b- sometimes, and I'm just too darned poor to be hanging onto $450-500 worth of lenses that are really a major indulgence when I have other not quite as stellar lenses that can still do the job. I might be able to tell the difference but 99% of my clients won't care so off they go (Sigh....) Someday when I'm really flush I'll replace them and maybe add two more, but until then I'm just going to have to settle for using the Ricohs, the Vivitars, and my older used AF lenses.

Will I still yearn for Takumars? For honest to goodness Pentax AF lenses? Heck yeah. 3 years down the road I hope to have my Taks back plus 2, a couple of K-30's or K-3's or whatever descendants they have and those two AF lenses as well. But right now if I don't pay off my dentist pronto my parents may end up eating soup all the time right along with me. They definitely won't particularly care much for that and believe me I will hear about it, endlessly, until I finally do get that bill paid off. As much as I love my Taks it's simply not worth the ulcers, lol. And no, I don't really have a choice. I've been trying for quite a while to sell off the stuff I'd choose to get rid of first. It's just not happening. It's either the Taks or it's nothing apparently.

Considering I've my dream lenses (I should say, all but 1 of them), all I dream about is going to explore new locations to take some photos with them...

I just want something like the Canon or Nikon 85/1.8s. The 77 Limited is great but expensive, and the 70 Limited is a little slower than I'd like. I know there's the K85/1.8 and the M85/2 but I want AF (and the K85 is crazy expensive/rare).
