Anyone ever purchased a lens from Provantage

Provantage has some great prices and they have a 3,838 seller rating on Google but I'd still like to hear from folks that have dealt with them. Anyone?

never heard of them before this, can't find anything on their site about whether they are authorized. edit - supposedly covered by manufacturer. return terms are harsh and include restocking charges.
there prices don't look to be anything special from what i see
what were you looking at?

Same with me on both counts. The only reason I am even entertaining them is that they are cheaper and have such a high Google rating.

Take a look at their lenses. I did not look at cameras.

the DA 15 is a good price (that is what you are looking at I bet)
I'd call or email Pentax and make sure they are an authorized distributor. if they are then the price is damn good if you are sure it won't need to be returned (not sure how many people have swapped out bad copies on that. there are certain sigmas and tamrons i'd never buy from them though

I've bought a couple things from them with no issue of delivery or product. I'd buy from them again.

I buy almost most of my EPSON Inks and wide format papers from them and typically they have some of the best prices. I also bought many computer related hardware with no issues over the years.

I believe they have a distribution center north of Atlanta, so for us they deliver the next day if in stock.

We use them where I work. Never any problems with them. I personally have never bought anything like camera equipment from them, though.

Thank you sir. That is very helpful. I wish Adorama didn't bundle useless and inferior filters with their lenses. If they took the price off for the filters the 15 limited would be an excellent deal.

got my k5 from there, and they quickly replaced it when the sensor station issue arose, after discussion with their Pentax rep. definitely recommended and a Pentax authorized dealer.
