Yep, who would have thunk it? But the info in this thread you can't buy it anyplace...I am sure someday down the road in 5 years, someone is going to Type in TC and this thread will still be here..

On a second note, I have been playing with my Neused Tamron 2.0 TC as well as Pristine Pentax 2.0 TC (MANUAL) the past week and so far I have found them to be pretty worthless....On lenses Like my Sigma 70-300APO where the 1.4TC works great, the other two leave the images very flat, very soft and anything short of noon day sun they are useless...Even in my quicker glass the DA*200 or the DA*50-135, I had very similar problems...The auto focus hunts like a coon dog...I guess the jury is still out...I did use it at the Horse races and bummed out that most of my images came out like junk...I was using shutter priority, when I likely should have been using AV and had the lense opened up all the way...

Buddha, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I bought the 300 and the 35 DAs from prodigital2000 in Canada. The 300 was the first I had seen outside of Nippon and the prices ($1100 for the 300 and $360 for the 35) were too good to pass up, even tho I had never heard of this outfit before. They performed professionally - I ordered on Fri. and received on Tues. (expedited). I checked a few minutes ago and they had 2 300s listed, but no 35s.............

Here you go, if I did it right............

Shop eBay Canada Store - Prodigital2000:: Lowepro, Canon

Well being from the UK and moving to Spain 7 months ago I stood absolutely no chance of finding a 1.4X Tamron and they are as rare as hens teeth on UK Ebay then this one came up so I grabbed it.
Tamron K mount 1.4X AF Tele-Converter to fit Pentax NM on eBay, also For 35mm SLR, Film Camera Lenses, Lenses Filters, Cameras Photo (end time 16-Apr-08 08:12:37 BST)

May be a bit over the top price wise but if I don't get on with it I'm sure I will get my money back on Ebay.

After the auction the seller told me how much he paid for it ... $25

Mike, from the looks of it, you got the right model...Good going and regardless of what you paid it is worth the money. I believe those who have it will agree...
I am currently looking for another Tamron TC 1.4 as the one I have has found a permanent home on my Sigma 70-300apo..

$140 US is still a very good price.
Mind you ... if I found one for $25 .... I'd feel bad for ripping someone off if i only paid that much for it.

Mine is still packed away nicely ... I just need to spend some time with it and get some pics up.
I might have a chance this weekend (I haven't even looked at my camera bag in a few weeks).

I ''still'' find it interesting that Pentax is coming out with an ''SDM'' TC and that Tamron stopped making the SDM TC...What does that tell you...Can I say, Re-named Tamron to Pentax MC-4

Interesting deduction... I just got my 1.4x in today and the 2x should be here possibly tomorrow, or later today as the case may be. I hope that if that is the case Pentax doesnt just rebadge it because IMO there is a lot of room for improvement, they need to send it over to R&D and tweek it out.
