The new Sigma 50-500mm is arriving

Finally, I have placed an order with B&H for Sigma 50-500mm F/4.5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM Lens for Pentax. For the first time, I have opted for 2-day air shipping... I had placed an order for the new sigma 18-250mm lens, but it was back-ordered. Today I got an email from BH saying that Bigma is available for shipping, I cancelled my 18-250mm order... Now I am going to the gym to build some muscles.... :-) I would like to see some pictures taken using Bigma here in this forum....

Congrats! Keep us posted on how you get on with this. I don't have one but have been close to getting a couple of used ones, look forward to your shots.

Take a look at my flickr, 95% of the motocross and football pictures were taken with the K7 and the Bigma.

I wouldnt trade my Bigma for anything, enjoy yours.

Allen,

The pictures are too good considering the low light. That's really encouraging....

i don't know if i could say i love it more...i actually love all my lens and find that you need different ones for different situations...thank you all for the compliments...always wonderful to hear positive feedback ...by the way they were taken handheld which is what i usually do...on some occasions i have used a monopod but prefer just going with the flow...can't wait to see your pictures and your thoughts on your new toy ...amy

I do use a monopod for the football shots but the motocross stuff is all handheld due to climbing into different places to get the angle I want.

Here is one of my picture with sigma 50-500mm

These are my first outing with Bigma. The pictures were taken in Carmel Beach during labor day weekend. Both were handheld shots using OS-I
