Sigma just made my day. It's about time they started making their 'good' lenses in Pentax mount again. Hooray!

Oh Hell!

there goes the resale market for my APO 70-200 f2.8 EX

Just kidding, no HSM and no macro but I don't care, great lense that has given me 4 years of hard knocks with no complaints

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm 99.99999% sure it doesn't.
But hey, the K10D is really cheap now! Or you can get a K110D Super for even less.

I really was just kidding.

At this point i wouldn't trade it unless I got something significantly better, better equaling at least a stop faster.

I have shot a lot with this lens over 4 years. really good nature and wild life and doesn't give up a thing when mated with the 1.4x TC. Reciently got the 2x for a little more reach.

Really hoping for an 300 mmF2.8AF or maybe a 500 F4.5 AF

I was excited to see Tamron release a 70-200mm 2.8 and now with a little competition maybe prices will get driven down a little bit on both.

Assuming the IQ lives up to the hype on both lenses it's going to be a tough decision. HSM sweetens the deal, but at what cost? $700 for the tammy could be tough to beat.

Wow. Finally! I'm very happy that Sigma did it. Although I have still K100D (plain, without Super), I'm very pleased and this Sigma's move will push me likely to the upgrade of the body. Now, I'm really considering K20D, if the price drops.

Wow. The announcement of this and the K20D have effectively killed my Canon-envy. Time to start saving my pennies.
