Test photo with 300mm f6.3 (1-IMG)

It's not much of a photo but thought it might be of interest since it came from a $50 piece of glass.

regards,

"$50 piece of glass"

some more details.. he he

the rear end of the closer boat isnt quite in focus but looking beyond it the rest seems okay so do the colours but phoposhop could have enhanced those.. which is why like to see jpegs straight from the camera for lens compare images..

Bought it from KEH 2 months ago. It's rating was "BGN". It has 2 apature rings. It even has a tripod mount. f 6.3 is the minimum apature. I don't use a telephoto much and need to learn how to focus it better.

Dont you mean that f6.3 is the maximum (largest) aperture?

Ken, I enjoyed your photo. I like the colors and the overall look. However, living in SE Texas and keeping a boat in the water year round, my brain disconnects when I see boats afloat with snow on the ground.

Jer,

LOL! I agree but these are work boats. These guys go out in the worst of weather to lobster. They can make a lot of money but not enough IMO for what they put up with.
