16kg hahaha I can envision that baby as my carry on next flight I get on - I will be promptly F*&*'ed without customs buying me a dinner that is for sure ....

Edit : Photo Reviews
Pros: Captuirng a speeding bullet in a dark alley from 100 yards off
Cons: Zoom noise has been known to break sound barrier at times ....

guys, this thing weighs 40 pounds! and has its own batteries because the camera isn't planned to be man enough for moving the motor.

What I want to know is if they offer a 110V power cord for the focusing as an option.

If I am going to need a trailer to haul this thing around, I might as well have a generator on it also.

Looks like it is made from a scrap munitions case (must be a lot of those beciming available)

Do you plan on purchasing an extra seat on the plane just for the lens?

They should add some wheels built in to help to carry it.

Good Point - unless they allow a 5 year leasing with a nomimal buy out , a multi generation buy option (where my grandchildren could own it ) , or I refinance my house ... I don't see this guy litteraly ridding shotgun with me for some shootings ! Any guess on price ? $10k ?

10K? I thought for a minute you wanted to talk price, not weight!

Yea $10K sounds about right. I saw in the market place a FA 400 2.8 and the seller wanted about $6K for that. Add 100 mm in length, and proportional increase in diameter for retaining speed, HSM motor that cound probably power a golf cart, the battery pack and the complexities of zoom, Yea 10K (weight and price)

I can tell we have lots of new Pentax shooters when we start seeing threads of things we talked about months ago That thing is a beast and unless I start making Tiger Woods money you can bet I will never own that one.

The objective is about 7 inches (175 mm) wide!! Like a big glass eye!

Yup, they definately have to make it in the Pentax mount. Somebody in this forum will get it just for bragging rights!!
