Samyang T-S 24mm 1:3.5 ED AS UMC will be available with mounts for Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony A. We welcome everyone to visit us at Photokina at our booth A025 in the hall 2.1.
Yay. I'll start saving. Yes, 17mm would be better, but 24mm is better than any other option we have at the moment. I bought a large format 5x4 system due to the lack of a good TS lens for Pentax.

Solar!

OK, SDM contacts. It has to be some order of magnitude less than the power needed for focus.
So they have to trick the SDM contacts into supplying power somehow? If I remember right those contacts are only active when focusing.

I'm sure it'll be a manual preset aperture. After all, you aren't using a TS lens for action shots! It's the sort of thing one sets up on a tripod and takes time with. I'm really looking forward to it.

You can preorder it from B&H for about $750-
samyang 24mm t3.1 | B&H Photo Video

no Pentax version listed yet.

I may get one for the D700.....
That a different lens, that is a normal lens meant for video use, not the tilt-shift. It has no clicks to the aperture ring, which is also labeled with T-stops and I believe the action of the focus ring is different too.

That's not the Tilt/shift lens Simon. It's Samyang's new Cine lens.

This will be an interesting lens, assuming it does appear in a K-mount (does Samyang make anything not in a K-mount?). If it's fully manual, even an M42 mount would be appealing. I've been considering the Arsat 35 T/S, after getting some time with my Pentax 28 shift, but they're not known for their IQ. Even so, the Arsat establishes a price point for the Samyang at around $600US, so I think I'll wait to see what the Samyang's like (and if it will be made in a K-mount or M42).

The Samyang press release states
"Samyang T-S 24mm 1:3.5 ED AS UMC will be available with mounts for Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony A."

Thanks for that. The price is the next issue.
