D-Xenon 100mm Macro Slower to focus on K5

I upgraded today to a K5...

Just been having a play... Enjoying the big viewfinder...

All my AF lenses bar one appear to be focusing more quickly on the K5 than they did on the K-x...

My Samsung D-Xenon 100mm 2.8 macro lens however, is definately focusing slower than it did on the K-x... Much slower...

Any clues?

Almost all macro lenses are slow to focus.

Yes... I'm aware of this...

I shall rephrase my question... (or you could just read my original post...)

Is any reason why the lens focuses more quickly on the K-x I just sold than on the K5 I just bought?

Is your battery fully charged? On the K-5, battery levels directly affect the speed of the in-body AF motor. I wrote a thread a while ago about this issue: Camera performance degrades with battery level? A fully-charged K-5 should be able to AF about as quickly as a K-x with new lithium batteries.

Furthermore, @i83N is right. My K-r focuses consistently faster with screw-drive lenses than my K-5, unless the K-r is running on AA batteries.

Looks like this could be the problem... Charged battery overnight and 100mm now focasing as normal (still quite slow but as was said earlier - macros do that...)
