Tamron Adaptall on K10D

I have an adaptall lens I now need to get a Pentax K mount for.

Is there different variations in the adaptall mount?
My lens has an AE setting on it, will this be the same as Pentax A mode?

I am planning on using it on a K10D

You need to get a pentax KA adaptall 2 mount, not a K mount. Otherwise the AE setting does not work.

You can still use a regular K adaptall mount, but you have to use stop-down metering. Check the knowledge base for more info.

I ended up getting a Pentax KA adapter.
Works great with my 300mm/2.8 lens.

I was surprised how the AF worked with this lens and the Pentax 1.7AF
