Any clues at the DA* lens coming???

Let's talk about a lens that is really missing: A 2/24 or even a 2.8/24.

Most lenses that were discussed here require a clear statement on FF or not FF in the near future. So, let's wait for such a statement and define whishes later on.

Looking at some "new" lenses which actually looks like a remake of older lenses, I'm thinking that Pentax is looking at the old SMC A35-105/3.5..

A remake with similar FL would be ~20-75mm? (+/- 5mm)

If it is, it sure looks good!

Throw in a WR too! Wohoooo~! And possibly an f/2.8!
We've got a winner then! But the price is gonna be somewhere around the sigma's i'd think.. So meh~ :P

If your source is the frequently posted lens roadmap then you're just speculating. The lens roadmap has focal ranges that fade out disguising Pentax's true intentions. Considering that SDM is fixed for new lenses I think it's much more likely this lens is a 20ish to 75ish normal zoom and they keep the 16-50 in the lineup. There's also a chance that it's a normal lens for FF. the limited zoom range (20ish-35ish) doesn't really make sense on APSC.

I would also be very surprised if it's a ground up redesign considering there are so many good lens designs in the archives.
