Wow!

It seems that those of us with Pentax cameras have suddenly become richly blessed with a multitude of lens choices. That's the good news. The bad news is that it makes choosing which lens to purchase just that much more difficult. Do I buy the Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 or the 70-200 f/2.8? And, of course, there's always the DA*50-135 Pentax to be considered and also the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. I guess we'll just have to take the "bad" with the good, huh?

If you look in the specs on the link, you should note that unfortunately, the Sigma is not available in Pentax mount.

Yea, I had caught that..My concern is ''if'' Sigma is making the DA* lenses, then what is to keep them from offering them to the Nikon and canon folk? I mean, It is pretty well known that while pentax does not have a huge line of lenses, what they do have are very good...

Sigh..................The Sigma 50-150mm is NOT the Pentax 50-135mm. (1)They are different focal ranges, and (2)The Sigma has been around for awhile in the other mounts.

Sigma has recently announced that they will be releasing the "II" version of this lens and the 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro (II as well) for Pentax (with HSM!)

Sigma 70-200 and 50-150 f/2.8 APO EX DG for Pentax and Sony: Digital Photography Review
I know they are not the same, I was commenting on appearance...But after a closer look it is different.
