What is going on with the dxomark lens reviews??

http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Lenses/Camera-Lens-Database/Pentax/smc-DA-35mm-F2.4-AL/(camera)/676

40xs only gets 46lp/mm? Why are the dxo results so different from photozone? Photozone seems to be accurate from the lenses I have that they reviewed. The dxo review of the 55-300 gives it poor resolution across the board regardless of fstop. The center should at least remain sharp in the sweet spot. I don't get it.

Also I don't get why dxomark is still using lp/mm vs mtf. Mtf has been proven to be a reasonably accurate measuring tool for sharpness....

DxO's lens test results and procedures are a mystery, and have long been a source of puzzlement for many people here.

Obviously test results for resolution vary by camera body etc but there is a lot of simple weirdness in DxO's results, especially for Pentax lenses.

Some bad news for Pentaxians: dpreview's recently announced and re-launched lens review programme will be based on DxO lens tests...

Why is that bad news? The lenses will still perform the same no matter what method of measurebation is used.

The DxO lens reviews seems very simplistic. For example the review for the 55-300 is based on 70mm f/4. So they tested it wide open. Looking at Photozone.de, you get more info and you see that the 55-300 sharpens up a bit at f/8. But the results are consistent for the DxO test in that if a lens performs badly, it performs badly for other bodies as well.

DXo and pentax goes in the weird way. They never give good ratings, it almost says that nikon and canon 18-55mm are better than every Pentax lens. Seems kinda dirty game and ratings.
