Wide angle prime?

What is out there for a wide angle prime lens good for landscape photography? Just want to look at all my options before purchasing a zoom.

Thanks again,
Rob

There are a couple of clear winners like the DA 14mm and the DA21mm. Check the lens review data base here: Pentax Lens Review Database - Main Index

the Sigma 10-20 is a prime contender as well, you just have to learn how to properly use the rectilinear distortions properly for a non-"wtf" effect

I have the Sigma EX DG 24mm F1.8. I got it to be a "club lens" because it is so fast, but I've found it to be a good landscape lens also. It's a bit soft on the edges wide open and contrast could be higher, but by 2.8 it sharpens up nicely and the contrast is easily fixed.

I've been really happy with the DA 14mm. It is wide compared to the kit lens and gives me the room I need to include everything I want in shots (although it should be noted, it's not usually about 'getting it all in', rather choosing certain bits carefully). It's been a real boon in urban/downtown photography when trying to get the whole of a building in frame. Optically it's a pretty good lens, and the construction is probably equivalant of the DA Ltd's (though it is definately heavier than those gems). FWIW, the wide shots in my 'Salt Lake Temple' gallery were taken with that lens.

If you're on a budget, you might consider the Cosina MF 20/3.8
