Is it Repairable?

My da55-300mm lens broke today. was shooting some soccer shots and the lens began to focus real slowly. when i took the lens off the camera pieces were rattling in the lens and a gold flat piece fell out of it. can it be fixed? is it to costly to fix? any advice helpful.

This sounds like a mechanical failure, which I'm sure is repairable. You'll probably end up spending at least 50% of the lens's value, though, knowing CRIS.
