DIY Tilt Lens for APS-C

For those that have a spare 50mm or 28mm sitting around that was made for 35mm film, here is an example of a nifty DIY project (not mine)...

While most such projects use medium format lenses, many 50 and 28mm lenses made for 35mm film have adequate image circles to allow for a fair amount of tilt. It might be just the thing to do with that odd, no-name, thrift shop find.

I wonder if you could retain aperture control if you were using something like a preset Helios 44-2.

Yep, with a preset lens you could retain aperture control. But my preset lenses (Helios 44-2, Industar 50-2) have pretty poor edge performance, even on APS-C, so tilting it would affect quality. Of course, there are many other preset lenses
