Teleconverter value?

ok, I've seen this pop up on the auctions every so often, and each time it has made me wonder....

What is the rough market price of these Pentax converters?

PENTAX Legend Rear Converter-A 2X-s & 1.4X-s. Melbourne | eBay

I only ask because, to me, $545 is an extremely large amount for them. But for all I know they might be some super rare version?

There was a 1.4x-s on eBay in the US that sold for $167, but was in its original box, which could have increased the value. The 2x-s is much more common apparently and sells for under $100.

No idea what that guy is thinking at $545.

I thought it seemed rather high for a teleconverter.

The Pentax F 1.7X AF is actually near that price range, but it is a special case.

Easy enough to remove the glass elements
