Two Pentax SMC ED IF 300mm f2.8 lenses on eVilBay!

I was trawling through eVilBay today for a 300mm lens and came across two adverts, one from the USA and one from Canada, for Pentax SMC ED IF 300mm f2.8 lenses, both K mount. I think my wife would kill me - especially with the added cost of shipping, customs duty, and GST (as the shipped cost would be over A$1,000).

Regrettably, links to all the sample images in the Pentax Lens Reviews are broken.

The $2500 one (first link) has been on eBay, from that seller, for more than a year... I know because last autumn I contemplated buying it (or one like it) and saved the images to my computer to examine closely. Same images, even today!

Never bought it, and I even passed on a better deal for that same A*300 from the marketplace here. Ended up with a Tamron 300/2.8 and the weight cured me of that LBA!

The seller with the more expensive ad must be on drugs.
