10-17mm fishy on slr?

It can mount and take pictures I'm sure, but what would the image look like? is there going to be a black border/ring on the developed photo? is it worth it ( i can trim/cut it)?

just wondering, would really like to take some photo with the 10-17 on my plasticky mz-60

I guess that it will vignette heavily. I got the old 17-28 fisheye zoom that is for fullframe but Iack any film camera for it.

Oh yes, you'll get quite a border with it. I have it as well as the 17-28 fisheye. Not sure exactly what you have or are looking for, though.

Would removing the small built in lenshood prevent this vignetting?

I tried this with my 10-17 and my Super A. It vignettes so bad from 10mm to about 14mm that just looking through the viewfinder I could see that it looks like the picture will have a square and circular border pattern. When I saw this I didn't even bother pressing the shutter as I figured it would be a waste.

But.

From 15mm to 17mm it operates as a fisheye lens quite well and it did not have any severe vignette border when I got the roll developed.

Hope this helps!

Tokina sells a version of the 10-17 without the built in hood and say it's compatible with FF Canon and Nikon cameras in it's ads and ok from 14.5 - 17 mm.
