16-50 (with problems) vs 21 + 35

So this is the problem:
As can be seen in my signature, I already got the 21 LTD and the 16-50. The wide side is covered currently by a Sigma 8-16
The 16-50's SDM is dead. As far as I can see it I have several options, considering that I wish to avoid focal length overlap, reduce costs and keep Image quality as high as possible:
1. Fix the SDM, Sell the 21.
2. Fix the SDM, than sell the 16-50, buy a 35ish lens (leaning towards the macro version).
3. Sell the 16-50 without fixing it, for a significantly lower price, buy a 35 prime.

What would you suggest I'll do?
Another piece of info that could help - If anyone knows the price if fixing the SDM in Canada, please share.

Thanks for any help in advance.

If the cost of fixing the DA* 16-50 is less than 1/2 the cost of a used decent copy, I'd fix it and keep it at least for a while.

I found it hard to go with only primes in this range, despite that fact that I still use primes 80% of the time.

So you also suggest to fix the 16-50?

You may consider a DIY fix. It is supposed to be pretty easy once you have the courage to remove the cover and some parts of the lens and discipline to put them back carefully.
