Which lens from the list is the best?

Hello there,
I am new here and I want to complete my shooting gear with some primes. I have at the moment K100D (from 2007) and I plan to upgrade to K-5. I now have the kit lens (18-55) and M50 f1.4. I want to buy one wide lens and one tele photo. I am from Bulgaria and here is a guy who sells a lot of old lens for around $50 a piece and it will be cheaper for me to buy from him since the shipping wil be only $3 for both items opposed to $60 if I buy them from ebay.

Here is the list of wideangles:
SMC Pentax-M 28mm 1:2.8 - reserved
MC Sun Wide-Auto 28mm 1:2.5.
RMC Tokina 28mm 1:2.8 P/K-A
Takumar-A 28mm 1:2.8 P/K-A
MC Miranda 28mm 1:2.8 Macro. K-A/R
MC Vivitar 28mm 1:2.8 Wide Angle P/K-A
MC Corton Wide Angle 28 mm 1:2.8 P/K-A
MC Prinzflex 28mm 1:2.8
MC Vivitar 28mm 1:2.8.
MC Soligor wide-auto 28mm 1:2.8
HMC Hoya 28mm 1:2.8 wide-auto
MC Miranda 28mm 1:2.8
MC Auto Chinon 28mm 1:2.8.
Auto Chinon Multi-Coated 28mm 1:2.8
Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f/2.5 (02B).
Bbar-Multi C Tamron 28mm 1:2.8. Adaptall.

Here is the list with tele lens (there are 2 zooms):
Takumar 80-200mm F4.5
SMC Pentax-M 75-150mm F4
SMC Pentax-M 80-200mm F4.5

Zoom:
SMC Pentax-M 135mm 1:3.5
MC Cosinon-T 200mm 1:4

Thank you in advance. Your help will be appreciated very much

I agree ... I have both the Tamron and the M 75-150 (good lenses) ... Also, remember to get a mount for the Adaptall-2 if one does not come with it ... a PK/M or better yet a PK/A if you can find one at a reasonable price. J

PS - Welcome to PF!

I'll add another vote for the SMC Pentax-M 75-150 It is quite an excellent lens from that time period. Mine is in great shape, very well made with no zoom creep.

What about the RMC Tokina 28mm? I just saw some pictures from it with amazing sharpness http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2574/5714080332_f475531484_b_d.jpg

I've found my thrill with Rikenon lenses, the 28mm f//2.8 Rikenon-P (yes the P series has a 'Ricoh pin' but mine has an innocuous one) and the 70-150 f/4 XR. Both are quite excellent; when I read the SMC-M 75-150 reviews I feel like the Rikenon XR is being reviewed. The 70-150 is a two-ring design (focus and zoom are separate) and the zoom is internal, no longer/shorter lens. Good stuff - but you won't go wrong with original Pentax lenses.

I have one of these and mine is pretty sharp too. I think it's a good lens. The minimum aperture is only f16, unusual but not really a problem. I've never used f22 at 28mm. The KA mount is a good feature to have.

The Tamron 02B 28mm f2.5 is also pretty good and sharp. If you get a KA mount for that price, I'd rate it above the Tokina just on value.

The Pentax-M is a bit behind these in sharpness but good enough so you wouldn't notice except on a test chart.

The Vivitar PK-A and the Takumar might be good enough but a bit of a gamble. Vivitar used a lot of manufacturers and some are great, some are just OK. The Takumar is supposed to be the same optical formula as the Pentax-A, which I found to be very good, but will have cheaper coatings, not so good.

The other 28mm lenses are more of a gamble at $50 than I would risk. For $15, take a shot.

Of the 28s, my vote goes with that one...Does it come with the PK adapter?

There are 20+ different versions of vivitar 28mm f2.8.
Few of them are very good with superb IQ, and with close focus capability.

I've used in the past the Vivitar 28 2.8. It is a pretty sharp lens, especially when you stop it down a bit. You may also consider the Vivitar 28mm "close focus" variant, which I hear performs better than the version up there.

I would take the multi coated tokens with PKA mount, this lets you use flash and full auto modes.

Then either the M 75-150 or the M135 but not both
