question: 18-135 vs 18-55: comparison images, optimal aperture?

Hello!

I have two questions: 1. Is there an image result comparison between the two lenses anywhere? I remember finding one, but it has eluded me so far this time.

2. What aperture settings are chosen for the lenses with the camera set to MTF Program Line?

Were thoe sharpness comparison shots taken with the original 18-55 or the newer II/WR version?

Reason I ask is that the 18-135 looks much, much better than the 18-55, but I don't feel that my lens is that bad (I have the WR version).

Adam, thanks Re: MTF. And I should have said that the review didn't do it for me since there were concerns as to which lens was used to compare.
