Rokinon 85mm f1.4 $249 Read carefully!

Rokinon 85mm f1,4
$249
Amazon.com: Rokinon 85M-C 85mm F1.4 Aspherical Lens for Canon (Black): ROKINON: Camera & Photo

Select Pentax in the Style Box - the price will NOT be $249, and the vendor will NOT be Amazon.
On the right, select Amazon as the vendor, price is $249, but it is out of stock, ship when available.
I ordered one on 11/26, it shipped 11/28.

Exactly. They got the optics down pat on this one. For some things doing manual focus is a better option to be truthful...but then again I am just a beginner at all this.

I am going to dip my toe into the prime AF world pretty soon (I do not have any autofocus prime lenses yet)...but I think I might be getting that bug.

With this lens you have to do things the 1980's way...but that's alright because it forces you (or it has me) to slow down and look at and think about what I am doing.

How about this one compared to Pentax DA 70 2.4 for portrait? I have had DA 70 limited already, and wonder if I need to go a 85 1.4.

btw, could this one be used on a Full Frame body? Thanks.

What is a (digital) full frame body? Folks at Pentax are still not aware of this phenomena....

Just placed my order. Unfortunate to hear that it could be a bit of a wait before it ships especially since I'm a Prime member but hey it's still the best price I've seen for a new one. With all my gift cards I had just enough to not come out of pocket which my diminutive bank account greatly appreciates. So thanks for the heads up and I'm definitely looking forward to doing some portrait work with this gem of a lens.
