I disagree. My two Pentaxes are used film cameras I picked up somewhere. I'm only a teenager so I can't afford a DSLR. Just remember why we all own Pentaxes, the quality. We're paying for quality lenses, that's what makes us stand out.

Present Shopping

I was looking for a new lens this week and passed on the Pentax smcP DA 50-135mm f2.8 ED (IF) SDM and for the price I went for two Tamron lenses, the Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 and the AF 28-75mm f/2.8, both for less than the one Pentax. Performance of the Tamron lenses looked good.

Performance on the 70-200 is good. Just FYI, the price in the basket for the 50-135 at the two leading online retailers in the US is often less than the Maximum Assured Pricing listed on the webpage.

One of the reasons why I stopped purchasing Pentax lenses.

Shopping for a new lens and I probably going to end up with a Tamron or a Sigma or possibly a Rokinon lens because the Pentax lens pricies are too high.

Please Pentax lower your lens prices in the USA.

Also I just bought a K-Q mount adapter for $27 from a 3rd party maker instead of the Pentax $250 part. As much as I would have loved to have a Pentax adapter for my Q camera it makes no sense to spend almost 10 times more money for the Pentax part.

The economy is in the tank and Pentax raises prices by how much? I won't buy a Pentax lens new at MSRP while the prices are so high. I'll buy used or third party.

I just picked up a year old mint 60-250 D* lens here in the market for close to a $1000- less than retail listing (except one vendor on Amazon). Happy to help out a forum member vs paying those high prices. Now I'm hoping it gets sent out soon.

Add me to this protest. I love my Pentax lens but they are so much more expensive than my husband's Canon lens

And having them in retail stores would help....there are 2 or 3 stores in the entire state of Tx that carry Pentax.
