Thanks. To be clear that one says "This lens has been refurbished by Pentax Canada to original factory specifications. It comes with a full warranty." So, Pentax Canada does refurbish lenses and sells them through ADs. Good. What about Pentax USA?

Best buy has definitely had refurbished Pentax bodies -- K200s, K10s and K20s with some pretty good deals on them, but I haven't seen anything more recently.

Good to know. What about K-7, K-5, K-x, K-r, etc.? The refur FA31 lens in Canada was pretty pricey IMHO too. It's just odd as I keep a pretty close look at prices for Pentax gear and you would think a refurb would trigger one of my many bots. Still odd to me.

The 31 Ltd sells in Canada for ~$1200+ to start, so 999 is a kind of deal, even though you could just order a new one from B&H for less.

That's part of the problem. The Sigma lenses that are refurbished are typically pretty discounted. I don't keep up with real prices for Canon or Nikon so I can't judge how good a deal they are when offered refurbished.
