WR on Pentax Lenses

Coming from Canon where the sealed lenses needed a UV filter installed in order to get the proper protection Does the 18-135 and 50-135 need a filter to complete thr WR coverage?

As mentioned, they are unnecessary, and actually hinder the ability to use them in the rain, as they cover the Super Protect coating, which beads most water off, and what's left is easily removed by puffing a blower on the front element once or twice.

Do note though, that if using an external zooming lens, you should dismount it once in a dry place(and done shooting) and leave it zoomed to full length, this will ensure no moisture causes issues.\

Also - Do note "Pump" the lens to try and dry it out faster, as this may result in dust being "Glued" to the inner elements.

Good advice.

I tried pumping it under a shower head. Fogged up for a week. Live and learn. ....
