Sigma 70-200 f/2.8

Does it work w/ the Sigma 1.3x and 2.0x converters? It would be a very useful lens for me if it does, but it seems to me I read somewhere that it does not.

Thanks Treebeard. I will although I won't be really shooting it for another week or so. Not much time to play with family visiting.

a few snaps with the new lens

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to follow up with a few pics I've taken with the new lens.

I had hernia surgery so haven't done much the last month because walking hurt before and then recovery.

I'm back at 'er now however

I picked up the non hsm older version and I am really happy with it. The only thing is I wish it could focus closer.....almost 7 feet seems like a country mile sometimes
It is so fast at focusing that I had to get a lot of practice as if the subject was out of the focus for just a fraction of a second it would focus on the background!
Once I got the hang of it I am wondering why Pentax after all these years hasn't caught up.

Have fun with your new glass...I am looking forward to the better weather

Thanks

Randy

The Simga 70~200 FLD OS is a phenomenal lens, even wide open you can get tack sharp images, by f/4 it is razor sharp - focusing is about as fast as it gets with this lens and dead on most of the time. I also shoot with this lens, it is now married to my K5.

Couldn't agree more with you. Got mine couple weeks ago and am loving it more everyday.
