Filter question on FA50 F2.8

I recently purchased the Pentax FA 50mm f2.8 Macro from the Market Place and have a question about the use of filters with it. I don't have the manual for it, but the specs listed at SMC Pentax-FA 50mm F2.8 Macro Reviews - FA Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database indicates it does have 52mm threads for a filter. Examining the lens what would be the filter threads appear to extend the full inner length of the end barrel, which is pretty deep when at minimum focus distance. Is this the filter threads? I hope I am explaining this clearly.

The 'threads' on the lower inside of the barrel are not filter threads but light baffles. The filter threads are just the part at the very tip of the barrel. You should see threads at the tip, then a small shelf and the start of the baffles.

Thank you SOldBear and jatrax. Upon closer examination I see there is a separation between the threads and the start of the baffles.
I wanted to make sure the lens would take filters before purchasing one.
