85/1.8 or similar?

Forgive me if this has been asked before....does anyone make an 85/1.8 in P/K mount or is the closest focal length the 77? I am looking for an AF lens, not MF only. Thanks.

The closest you are going to get is the 77 ltd, unless you want the FA* 85/1.4 which only costs twice as much as the 77.

There is also the Sigma 85mm F1.4, but no cheap F1.8 version:

That's what I thought. I was looking for a focal length that would work for indoor sports and other things. I think the only lens in my price range at the moment is the 70/2.4. I cannot afford an 85/1.4 nor the 77/1.8. Thanks for the input and happy holidays to everyone.

I have a Pentax Limited 70mm F 2.4. Wonderful lens. Sharp, great bokeh and the quality of construction is something to behold.

Auto aperture, but manual focus. Still, look at the price and decide if AH is really that important: Samyang 85mm F1.4

Yes, but it has zero ratings where as the Samyang is very highly rated.

Yet lower than all the rated Pentax 85mm lenses on this site.

Do you think it would be fast enough to use for indoor gymnastics? It looks to be my only viable option at this point.

I love mine for low light work.
It's fully usable wide open,
and the AF is probably as good as it gets in Pentax land.

Nevertheless, I personally prefer MF for indoor gymnastics-type activities.
Here's a shot with the MF Voigtlaender 90/3.5:

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will need to find me a deal on a used one.
