True, dat. There are some exceptions, though. In addition to your list, I'd add:
Pentax-M F1.4 50mm
Ricoh Rikenon XR F2.8 28mm
Pentax-A F3.5 35-105mm
Tamron SP model 23A 60-300mm
These are some older lenses that are deadly sharp with great contrast & vivid colors on my DSLRs.
