I agonized over the same choices. The reason I chose the fisheye is Herbert Keppler's article where he mentioned several professional photographers on a tour in mid-day - the only one who was getting anything interesting was the one using the fisheye. The purple fringing can be pretty bad in the wrong lighting, but I think I can handle it. I wanted an ultra-wide lens for dramatic effects, and what could be more dramatic than a fisheye? (Just don't overdo it.)

I place my photo few day ago "This is Red" I use my Pentax 10-17 image was very sharp and not too much distortion and distance was extremely close.I can correct distortion problem with Paint shop pro X2 .I like this lens.

With shake reduction, what kind of shutter speeds can you hand hold with this lens?
