Originally posted by sarahparish91 Hi, I am wanting to buy another lens (currently have Sigma 50mm 1.4) but I'm wanting something longer. I mostly take photos of my kids. I am not sure if I should get the Pentax 77mm 1.8, the Sigma 85 1.4 or the Tamron 90mm 2.8 di macro. The Tamron is about half the price of the other 2 lenses, price doesn't matter too much, but it will just take me a little bit longer to save up for either of the other 2. Should I wait and save up for either the 77mm or 85mm? If so, which do you recommend? I really like how much lighter the 77mm is..
You really need to decide how much subject isolation you want. I've gotten some great kid shots with my Tamron 90mm, but they are nowhere near as special as ones that can be gotten from faster glass, or from longer glass of the same 2,8 aperture. Good luck
