Originally posted by Neisey I have stumbled across a bundle of 3 older lenses for private sale for what seems like a super price.
The ad says...
"These are older lenses in excellent condition:
1. SMC Pentax-A 1:1.7 50 mm
2. Kalimar MC AUTO ZOOM MACRO 1:4.5-5.6, f=80-200 mm Japan
3. Tokina RMC 28 mm, 1:2.8 (also made in Japan)"
I have been able to find the 50 mm listed in the data base here and see that it is a worthwhile lens to have and I believe that it will work well on my K10D noting that it is manual focus only.
I have not been able to find the other 2 lenses so was wondering if anyone has heard of them or used them? I'm not quite sure what the SMC, MC and RMC stand for and how do I know what kind of mount they are? Also, if you could give me a rough estimate of the value of each lens that would help me determine if the price listed is actually a good one. (I'm in Canada)
Thanks do much for helping me out.
Well im guessing the MC\RMC mean
Multi
Coated? The R I dont know... Your best bet if no one has the above lenses is to go to KEH, Pentax MF (Im assuming theyre K-mount MF not Screwmount MF) and check out the Non-Mfg Zoom\Prime Lenses for similare lenses and the price.
Ex1 and
Ex2. Of course those aren't exactly the same but similare. Also Canadian prices are normally slightly high than usual, but if you prowl CraigsList enough a good deal will pop up.
Thanks
