zoom repair F 70-210

I acquired this lens for a cheap price because the zoom doesn't zoom. Of course it's not cheap at all if I can't use it! I've determined from the reviews that it's worth repairing for the quality of the images, but does anyone know where to have an old Pentax lens fixed, and if ultimately it's going to cost me something crazy? I have the 50-200 but I think this is going to be a better lens, if I can get it working. Any thoughts?

I should add there's something small rattling around in there when I move the lens, that I'm optimistically assuming is part of the zoom mechanism, all of a piece, as it were ...

I followed this instruction to disassemble it completely. There are more than one thing to fix (zoom brush, zoom pin that stops and moves inner barrel during zoom). Hope that will help.

My experience is that when I get the zoom apart enough, there's half a plastic roller still in place and the other half missing. The part might have cost a penny originally but it's probably not available now except from another lens. Unless you got the lens really cheap, found a cheap repair person and didn't need parts, the repair could easily cost more than another copy of that lens. The most often recommended cheap repair person here is in the US, and international shipping would probably be the last straw.

I have one of these lenses where the zoom works fine but there's an optical issue, the front element is starting to separate.
