Tokina AT-X or AT-X PRO??

Im wondering, is it a huge difference between the Tokina 28-70 at-x series and the 28-70 at-x pro?

Im a newbee at this, but i think i can get a good indoor zoom for cheap bucks. (190 $)

Can't say anything about AT-X, but I have this AT-X 270 Pro. It is quite good lens, sometimes very good. But it is indeed more expensive. Build is generally great too with tokinas, so it might be nice bargain to try.

The af/mf clutch on the pro is a nice feature and the build quality is a bit higher, but I think optically they are very similar. Look in the lens reviews, they're both in there. I'm looking at buying the ATX pro 270 as well and have the 828 now and it is a superb lens

I hear you on that one. I'm actually looking for the 235 right now, but am afraid I'm going to have to wait a while for one to come up. The 80-200 is quite fantastic. I have the screw in lens hood which I prefer to the bayonets, but it is hard because it doesn't have the notch like pentax hoods do so it makes using rotating filters next to impossible with the hood on
