[LBA] DA limited...

Today I was still laying in bed, when the bell rang. A nice, Dutch lady (sorry no photos ) asked me to sign for a package...

Which came from some 400 km (250 miles) further...

Is it...?

OMG! It is...

First shot:

Since its' introduction, I was always interested in this little beast. I have had the 77 limited for a few months, but since I wasn't making much use of it, I exchanged it (with the help of Janneman) for the 31 Limited. Nevertheless, I felt I missed a short tele so when a guy was selling all its' Pentax stuff to buy a 40D, I didn't hesitate, since I felt this was a once in a lifetime opportunity...

It's incredibly small, and the funny thing is the lenshood, which is telescopic and screws in front of the lens... Here is hoping this lens is up to the task...

Must've been such an exciting time...
Congrats on your new acquisition. It looks good as new. Use it in good health!

I can't understand why that person would want a 40D in the first place, but eh...

when you get the chance, could you give a comparison between the 70 and the 77?
i'm on the fence between the two and possibly a manual 85.

I don't have the 77 anymore, but Ishpuini of the forum has, and we agreed on a head to head and have a comparison. As soon as we exchanged our experiences, I will update it here (with comparison shots - promissed!)

@Pete: txs!

If there's one thing I'd love to see changed... it's their product box design. It looks as if I had concieved it... 4 years ago.

I received the 70 for my birthday, and it was instant love. Took like a duck to water on my K100D.

I LOVE your series of shots, thank you for sharing the excitement. And that's one sexy pic of the 70 with her clothes off...

At least I have an excuse - I was 16 at the time. I figure Pentax hired someone with a bit more experience to design their box "art".

I don't know if it makes you more comfortable, but the boxes of N*k*n and C$n$n aren't any better... But it's the lens that counts of course...

They should have followed the design of their older boxes. My Optio S came in an all-black box, with a picture of the camera, and the red PENTAX logo on the top. And that was it.
