I did not notice it has this unique character until I get a chance to use it.

Not to mention the close focus ability is excellent.
With about 15cm in real life (oppose to 17cm from spec)
I will say this is 2x better than DA15 (20cm in spec and it does stop right at 20cm)

Then I find it is consistence with photozone result.

Man that's a colorful scene!
My Sigma 15mm fisheye is like this; subject can almost touch the front element and be in focus. I wouldn't want to do it often (especially with a fisheye) but it's very nice to have it available.

That's the Zenitar 16/2.8 fisheye's downfall, it only focuses to 0.3m. It enhances the fisheye effect to get closer.
