Comparison of Pentax DA* 200/2.8 and A 200/4

I did a little comparison of the two lenses.
Have a look here:

DA* 200 trumps the A 200 as to be expected.

It was so obvious that Da* 200 beats A 200/4 in all criteria. The CA is really bad with A 200mm f4 and bokeh are far more ugly than anything I have seen.

Da* 200mm is really like a good performer. f2.8 is quite usable but not as sharp as I would have liked.

Chris did these sample shots and really blew me away easily. I guess it would have to be put to use with wedding or event photography to know how it will perform in real terms

Mine was delivered a couple of days ago, and I have not had a chance to use it between work and moving. I was able to go out and take a few quick pics yesterday before it got dark. My initial impressions are that this is a very good lens, it is very sharp, with great overall image quality. However, if you like to take pictures of tree limbs against washed out sky's, this might not be the lens for you.

It would be very interesting to compare the DA* to either the FA*200 f2.8 and/or the A*200 f2.8.
