Lens Suggestion

I currently shoot with the Pentax k5IIs.. I have a 70-200, 85mm, and a 35mm.. I primarily shoot portraits and weddings.. Looking for a new lens to add to my gear.. Thought of a macro.. Open to any suggestions!

Looks to me like you are missing something wide. DA*16-50 or the Tamron or Sigma equivalents. If you want macro then DFA 100mm is excellent. A 50mm prime either regular or macro would also fit into your mix.

Really, too many choices to make a recommendation unless you know why you want it and what you want to do with it.

Definitely get something for the wide end. You have all the other ranges covered (except possibly a 50mm)

I have taken some lovely wedding photos with my 21Ltd. Been known take 100% of the wedding party with it.

I just bought a *50-135mm f2.8 and it looks like it just might rock for such events. Great skin tones, doesn't weight you down, with the exception of the auto focus a tiny bit slow, it might just be the perfect portrait lens. I would then get, if money was not an object, the FA 31 for groups. I love my sigma 17 -70mm 2.8 -4.5 for close ups of rings, flowers, etc.
Good luck on your choices

Randy

DA*16-50 (or the Sigma EX 17-50/2.8). Really useful event lens.

+1 for the 21mm limited. I love mine. But others have mentioned zooms that could be very usefull to you especially for wedding work.
