For macro take a look at the Tamron 90mm or Pentax 100mm:

What's your budget and what do you intend to shoot with your lenses? These questions will make your decisions a little easier. Macro lenses come in the 35mm, 50mm, 70mm and 100mm varieties presently, and by 'extended zoom' do you mean a super zoom like a Tamron 18-250, or a long telezoom like a Sigma 50-500?

I would forget Ebay and look around in the Marketplace here. It's cheaper here. In addition to the Sigma 150-500 there is the Sigma 50-500 (more expensive) and the Sigma 170-500 (cheaper, but less sharp). THere is also the Sigma 135-400, but it doesn't quite have the reach of the 500mm choices.

These extra long lenses are all expensive. You may as well start with finding a DFA or FA 100 macro lens on this forum's marketplace, which would sell for about $300 second hand, and along with a standard wide-normal zoom like the 18-55 or 17-70, you get the DA 55-300, which is a cheap but good quality way to get 300mm of reach. Anything more than 300mm is going to cost you significantly more.
