I saw in the 50-135 Lens review, the reviewer mentioned that it's possible to buy this lens over the phone with Adorama and get a much better price.
My question is, what constitutes as a much better price? Will you get the lens for the price that it was available at before this whole pricing fiasco hit? Further, does it work on all Pentax equipment?
I'm in the market for a 43mm Limited (or an FA 50 1.4) and I wonder if this lens is any cheaper; notably none of the FA Limiteds received a change in price once PRIC moved to a unilateral pricing stragegy, so I'm guessing the answer is no....but I suppose it may be worth a shot?
What have been your experiences when calling B&H and/or Adorama and asking for the in-store price?
Thanks!
Many lenses are cheaper in store, because the UPP is only string with online pricing. There probably aren't any savings on either of those two lenses, but you should e-mail
jwaldner@adorama.com to check!
As for the 50-135mm, I believe the in-store price is $1049 at the moment.
