Video lens suggestions

For video with my K-5, what are your suggestions for the perfect lens ?

I'm startin' to get an itchy back pocket.

I don't shoot much video, but I used the F35-135 the last time I did. It has a nice zoom range and has the advantage of being parfocal.

Tough the beat the Samyang 35mm 1.4 for video - Samyang has nearly done a hostile takeover of the DSLR video market with their lineup, so much so that they are now taking these lenses and manufacturing them specifically for the video DSLR market by manufacturing these things as Cine lenses w/ T-Stops. Not sure if they are doing it for K-Mount (the cine and t-stop labeling), but it is the same lens as the regular 35mm 1.4, only a little more tailored to the video market.

How about this , the Noflexar 64cm f9, my $11 luck. Sample movie, with my K-x, from about 80 yards. I just couldn't move back anymore...!!!

Sorry I couldn't help myself, depending what you want to shoot... IMO anything from 35-80, as fast as possible...

EDIT: The "youtube" quality sucks, it looks a lot sharper HD from the camera!

Hello,

Finally, I get to help someone. I am an independent filmmaker that used to use DSLRs for recording. Recently, I switched back to a video camera with interchangeable lenses. A Samyang 35mm prime cine lens would be your best choice.

Link to our movie using the Samyang on the Sony FS100.

Good luck.
