Any idea of what lenses these are?

Found these lenses and they are local to me. Besides being Ashanti and of course one of them being a 1.4 another 1.8 and one 3.5 at it's widest, I have no idea of what focal range or anything since the seller doesn't seem to be too photo savvy.

Sent him an email so he can hopefully send me the info on front of the lens as focal range and other info in there. But until he responds, I thought I would try the more savvy members of the forum.

I am looking to make a purchase, which was mostly looking at ebay for lenses that at least would fit directly to my K-30 without any adapter. Found a nice near mint 50mm 1.7 selling at $100, but really don't know if that's a price that lens would sell on that condition. Also looking to a longer telephoto 90mm+, ideally a nice 100-135mm bigger apperture like 2.8

Anyways, Thanks a million.

Jose

Probably a Takumar 50/1.4, an 55/1.8, and a 135/3.5, but don't know which versions (Super, Super-Multi-Coat, SMC). Those are all M42 screw-mount lenses.

The lenses in the pictures are screw mount lenses and will not work without an adapter on your K-30. From the aperture ranges and focus scales my guesses would be a 135mm f3.5, 50mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.8.

Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8
Super Multi Coated Takumar 50/1.4
Super Takumar 135/3.5

All three are very good manual-focus lenses. Please see the user reviews at: Pentax M42 Screwmount Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

As mentioned, you would need an adapter (M42 to K-mount).

So if optics are decent, would you guys recommend to just get the m42 adapter online than getting their k mount counterparts like maybe a 50mm 1.7 that i should be able to fit without the adapter?

A quick read-through of recent sales on fleabay indicates $20-60 for the 135/3.5, $20-100 for the 55/1.8, and $50-150 for the 50/1.4. It depends on the version, condition, how much you want it, how much you like to haggle, etc.

If you were buying the 3 from KEH you would expect to pay around $200.

So if for what I could tell, rings feel ok, optics are ok with no major things to them if I start at 100 for the three, should be a good starting point given that this would be the first time I buy any type of glass that is not the kit lens included on my k-30. I was thinking of buying the da 50mm 1.8 at the regular bh price, so I would be prepared to go up to 200 I guess. Let's see what he says when he replies my email.

I think he just found this lenses on the attic or something going by what he put on cl and lack of description. So I'm thinking of going in lower.

Sounds like the seller has no clue what he is talking about, so he might not expect much. Also, the description is a little vague, so I don't think many people will find this ad. You could go for even less, say 30$ for 3 lenses and take a gamble that its junk.

Be reminded that these lenses Tak 50 is not similar to the DA 50 1.8. - the sharpness may be similar, but the tak is manual focus and manual aperture. Real fun to play with and to really understand photography, but it takes some effort and practice from the photographer.

If you don't have any experience with old manual-focus manual-aperture M42 screwmount lenses, I definitely wouldn't throw a lot of money at them. A bargain, however, is always a bargain.

Well after a couple of calls, he got them for a debt. So he is expecting at least 60 bucks. I have no experience with the m42 manuals but I usually am in manual exposure rellying heavely on the mighty green button for initial exposure and also on manual focus a lot because of my wanting of using manual fast fixed primes.

Ohh and I don't expect miracles with the 50s, just be able to slow down and think more about the shots.

BTW This is his response to what the lens said on the front of the barrel.

#1 - super-takumar 1:1.8/55 #2 - super-multi-coated takumar 1:1.4/50 #3 - super-takumar 1:35/135

So basically you guys are awesome and nail it on the head.

I would be pleased to return home with those lenses for $60. I'd pay $60 for the 50/1.4 alone, provided it's in good condition of course.
